Becoming a Member
Types of Memberships
Individual Member
Any person employed by local social services agencies, regional or state offices of the Virginia Department of Social Services in the area(s) of support, (fiscal, administrative, eligibility or services) shall be eligible for an Individual Membership.
Agency Member
Any person who meets the criteria for an Individual Member whose employer pays the annual dues.
Associate Member
Any person not eligible to be an Individual or Agency Member but who has an interest in the purposes and activities of this organization, shall be eligible for Associate Membership. At no time shall State membership exceed twenty-five percent (25%) Associate Members.
Structure
The five regions of POSSESS are Central, Eastern, Northern, Piedmont, and Western. Note that POSSESS is using the regional assignments that were in place prior to the changes made by the VDSS in 2006.

How Can You Join?
To join you need to complete a membership application and send a check or money order payable to POSSESS for your membership dues to the treasurer in your region. Membership dues are listed on the membership application. A list of the current regional treasurers is posted below.
